Green Attractions

The Europa-Park Resort is not only synonymous with action and fun - it is also a paradise for nature lovers. Europa-Park’s 95-hectare grounds alone are home to 100 attractions as well as many wide-ranging green spaces. A total of around 5,000 trees of 400 different species give Germany’s largest theme park a unique green flair.

With the opening of the Rulantica Water World in 2019, the natural landscape has even increased. For construction projects of this kind, it is a requirement that ecological compensation is created. An ‘Ecology Task Force’ - consisting of representatives of Europa-Park, the municipality of Rust and nature and environmental experts - has ensured, among other things, that 2,500 trees, 18,000 wild shrubs and 60,000 flowers have been planted. “A lot has been planted beyond the official requirements,” emphasises Ann-Kathrin Mack, Europa-Park’s authorised signatory. The park’s own gardening department with more than 80 employees is responsible for the maintenance of the natural paradise. “We pay attention to every detail and leave nothing to chance,” says its manager, Sebastian Elender. Roland Mack emphasises:“Nature is a cultural asset for us and one of the very important success factors.”
