Rust would be unimaginable today without Europa-Park. More than six million visitors flock to Germany’s largest theme park every year. A relationship of trust and friendly cooperation has developed between the park and the community. Local clubs are supported just as regularly as the volunteer fire brigade. The citizens of Rust have free admission to Europa-Park. The digital travel platform Booking.com has repeatedly named Rust the “most hospitable place in Germany”, which is largely due to Europa-Park.
However, Europa-Park has not only shaped the former fishing village, but also
the entire region. In its decisions, the park always coordinates closely with the municipality of Rust, the district office of the Ortenau district in Offenburg and the citizens. In the meantime, seven towns and communities around Europa-Park have joined together to form the “Europa-Park Experience Region”. The aim is to encourage guests to stay longer in the region during their visit.
