Peter Gaymann is one of Germany's most popular and successful cartoonists. His most famous creations are his lively and endearing chickens. In the meantime, tens of thousands of drawings and over 100 books have been published. His latest work is directly related to Europa-Park, to which he has been personally connected for years: "Kulinarische Achterbahnfahrt" [Culinary Roller-Coaster Ride] – the cookery book from Europa-Park: It is a delicious adventure for the palate and the mind. The author and Chairman of the SWR Board of Directors, Hans-Albert Stechl, has compiled 66 recipes from the chefs at Europa-Park.
They range from starters and main courses with and without meat to desserts and take you on a culinary journey across the continent from Scandinavia to Spain. All dishes can be easily recreated in your home kitchen thanks to detailed instructions and practical tips. And to make working in the kitchen even more enjoyable, the pages are filled with humorous illustrations by Peter Gaymann.
The cartoonist's works will also be on display at Europa-Park from 23 November 2023 to 28 April 2024. Under the title "Da lachen ja die Hühner – Peter Gaymanns Zeichnungen im Europa-Park" [Ruffling some feathers - Peter Gaymann's drawings in Europa-Park], more than 80 originals and signed prints as well as other objects by the popular artist will be on display in the Baltic Hall (in the “Blue Fire Dome”).
