Europa-Park breaks the mould with a new "Phantom of the Opera" attraction. Millions have already watched the musical hit on stage or on film. Now the VR rollercoaster "Eurosat Coastiality – The Phantom of the Opera" turns the global success into an immersive experience. Immersive means that you really immerse yourself in a virtual world and experience it as if it were real. Guests are equipped with futuristic-looking virtual reality goggles. Imagine yourself in the gloomy catacombs of the Paris Opera, where the Phantom is up to mischief. The experience begins in a magnificent foyer. As soon as the doors open, passengers enter detailed scenes that bring the story of the Phantom to life.
Collaboration with musical legend Andrew Lloyd Webber
Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical is considered one of the most spectacular stage productions of all time. For "Eurosat Coastiality – The Phantom of the Opera", Europa-Park is working together with Webber's London-based company "The Really Useful Group". "I've been a fan of the Phantom since I was a child," says a delighted Michael Mack. The famous melodies from Andrew Lloyd Webber's opera have been rearranged and orchestrated for the ride. Back in 2017, Mack brought together VR, roller coasters and world-famous artists with French star director Luc Besson.
