To mark Europa-Park’s 50th anniversary, the Mack family laid the foundation stone for the “Children’s House for Young Heroes” in the Wild West town “Silver Lake City”. In cooperation with the “RTL Foundation – We Help Children” and DJ BoBo, five barrier-free apartments are being built for families with children who have recovered from cancer. The aim is to offer a free-of-charge, relaxing stay with a leisure programme. “We want to give these families a week filled with joy, lightness and solidarity – and thus give them back a feeling of normality after the difficult time they have been through,” explains Europa-Park owner Roland Mack. The project is supported by the German Childhood Cancer Foundation and the plan is to open in summer 2026.
