Between Rulantica and hotel ‘Krønasår’, a scene unfolds that soon makes visitors forget they are in Rust. The man-made lake creates the impression of a Nordic harbour: Striking architecture, maritime details such as the boats Davidsson and Valentin, and a crane define the panorama, while façades and lights are reflected in the gently rippling water. The atmosphere is reminiscent of Scandinavian coastal towns – a little rugged, yet open and welcoming at the same time.
As you stroll along the shore, you’ll constantly discover new views. Every now and then, fountains shoot up and wisps of mist drift across the water’s surface. ‘The Source of Life’ fountain, with its artistically designed sea creatures, adds a striking touch.
