Europa-Park best theme park in the world

Which theme park is the best? This was the question posed by the American magazine “Amusement Today” in the context of its “Golden Ticket Award”. And you may not be surprised to hear: Europa-Park came out on top. For an incredible tenth time, the jury has given Germany’s largest theme park the award for the best theme park in the world. The Europa-Park Experience Resort once again beat off the international competition from the big names such as Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. The jury was particularly impressed by the successful combination of tradition and innovation and the extraordinary variety of attractions. The high-quality catering and accommodation facilities also helped take the park into first place. One particular highlight is the new “Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac” rollercoaster, which made it into the top 10 out of around 6,000 steel rollercoasters around the world.

Along with the theme park itself, the Rulantica water world also made an impression: it came in in fourth place in the worldwide water park ratings. The award ceremony was held at Carowinds theme park in Charlotte, North Carolina. Owner Jürgen Mack accepted the award on behalf of the entire team and was clearly proud: “The prize is an extraordinary achievement on the part of all our staff.”
