Honoured with the highest french medal

French President Emmanuel Macron honoured Europa-Park owner Roland Mack and his son Michael Mack, Managing Partner of Europa-Park, with the highest French awards in Paris: Roland Mack has been appointed ‘Officier de la Légion d'Honneur’ and Michael Mack ‘Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur’. Roland and Michael Mack are ‘great friends of France’, explained Macron. The rare honour recognises Roland and Michael Mack's extraordinary commitment to Franco-German friendship. Only a few Germans have received these medals to date, including Michael Schumacher, Ulrich Wickert, Otto Hahn, Max Ernst, Marlene Dietrich and Liz Mohn. About a quarter of the 5,000 employees at Europa-Park experience resort come from France, and approximately 30 million French guests have already visited Germany's largest theme park since it opened in 1975.
