Emil Steinberger, the Swiss legend of cabaret, is now delighting visitors to Europa-Park: two of his most famous sketches are being shown several times a day in the Fairy Tale Forest cinema: “Police Headquarters” and “The Pram”. In high German and Swiss dialect, they provide excellent entertainment under the title “12 Minutes of Laughter with Emil”.
The 92-year-old Emil has long been a cultural treasure in Switzerland. With gentle humour and affectionate observation of everyday life, he has left his mark on generations. The new format is impressive evidence of the fact that his sketches still pack a punch. Emil is a self-confessed fan of Europa-Park: “You can sense the joie de vivre, the fun, the wonderful atmosphere,” he explained enthusiastically at the anniversary gala to mark “50 years of Europa-Park”.
