Ammolite Michelin-Starred restaurant resplendent in its new style

The Ammolite has opened a new chapter in its history: with its rebranding as "Ammolite – House of Light" and a comprehensive refurbishment, the two-Michelin-starred restaurant is sharpening up its profile as a gourmet location that stimulates the senses. An extended reception area now awaits diners when they arrive. Light and architecture merge even more intensely to create an atmospheric setting. Refined bar seats, additional tables and a walk-in, air-conditioned wine chamber give the restaurant new depth – elegant and cosmopolitan at the same time.

One of a kind in a theme park. Situated in the lighthouse of the "Bell Rock" hotel in Europa-Park Experience Resort, the Ammolite is the only two-Michelin-starred restaurant in a theme park anywhere in the world. Since 2012, chef Peter-Hagen-Wiest has been championing international haute cuisine with a regional soul. His eight-course tasting menus "Around the World" and "Green Forest", which is the vegetarian option, combine classic French cuisine with modern sophistication and the utmost precision.

Complexity and balance characterise every dish, while an excellent wine cellar with leading regional, domestic and international wines adds the finishing touch to the experience. "Thanks to its consistent, extraordinarily high standards, the Ammolite's reputation reaches far beyond the boundaries of the region," says Thomas Mack. The name "House of Light" underlines the establishment's aim of creating special moments through both food and atmosphere that will leave a lasting afterglow.
